The PADI Open Water Diver is the first big step into the world of Scuba. It allows you to explore unparalleled places, driven by a wholesome feel of raw adventure.
PADI is the most recognized scuba certification around the world, so obtaining your PADI Open Water will allow you to jet off to almost anywhere in the world to go diving with the local centers into some of the most serene and stunning oceans you'll ever see.
What does it entail?
You'll cover the three phases of the PADI course:
- Knowledge Development (online and classroom) to understand the basic principles of diving.
- Confined Water Dives in the training pool to master the skills needed
- Qualifying Open Water Dives to pt your skills to the test
Once you pass your qualifying dives, you'll be able to dive to depths of 18m in conditions equal to or better than you qualified in.
Courses start on Saturday's and run weekly (with Thursday evenings also available). There is no set time frame in which you need to pass - the intructors will let you know when you're ready for your qualifying weekend!
